Rental Terms

TERMS: Payment in advance by credit card, check or cash. The deposit paid with the opened contract is an estimate only. The final amount will be charged upon return of the equipment. A damage deposit may be required upon Souhegan Valley Rentals Request. Established open business accounts are due and payable, net 30 days from contract date. Past due accounts are charged a 1.5% monthly service charge. Delivery, fuel, cleaning and repair charges are additional. The terms and conditions that are contained in our standard rental agreement shall govern.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY: To furnish you, our customer, with machines that have been carefully maintained and are suited for the application that you have outlined. All equipment is rented in good working condition, clean and full of fuel.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY: To furnish a qualified operator and ensure that normal daily maintenance is performed as a prudent person would their own property; that is fuel, grease, cleaning, checking oil levels and tire pressures, etc. Customer agrees to return the equipment in the same condition as received, ordinary wear and tear accepted. Customer is responsible for any damage to the rental equipment or loss of its parts or attachments while in their possession or control.
RATES: Scheduled rental rates begin when equipment leaves our yard and continues until equipment is returned to the premises. Equipment with run time hour meters are charged one days rental fee for each 8 hours of use, per 24 hour period. A pro- rata charge will be made If the equipment is run for more than 8 hours in a 24 hour period. A week consist of 40 hours operating time over 5 or 7 consecutive rental days. A month consist of 160 hours of operating time over 20 or 28 consecutive rental days. Half day rates are based on 4 hours of consecutive rental time. Overnight (half day) rates run from close of business to 8 Am the following morning. Weekend rates run from Friday to Monday and must included a Sunday as one of the consecutive rental days. All time is charged, including Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. Delivery, fuel, cleaning and repair charges are additional.
HOW RATES ARE DETERMINED:
Half Day = 4 hours consecutive rental time
Day= 8 hours operating time in a 24 hour period
Weekend (2 day) = Day rate x 1.5 or (12 meter hours)
Weekend (3 day) = Day rate x 2 or (16 meter hours)
Weekend (4 day) = Day rate x 2.5 or (20 meter hours)
Week (5 day) = Day rate x 3 or (40 meter hours)
Week (7 day) = Day rate x 4 or (40 meter hours)
Month (20 day) = Day rate x 3 x 3 or (160 meter hours)
Month (28 day) = Day rate x 4 x 3 or (160 meter hours)
DELIVERY: Charges are calculated based on the driving distance and the weight of the equipment. We offer daily delivery service to the Souhegan Valley Region and surrounding towns.
INSURANCE
Customers are responsible to provide fire, theft, physical damage and liability insurance coverage for all rental units. A certificate of insurance may be required for larger units. A damage deposit may be required upon Souhegan Valley Rentals Request.
CONTRACTOR INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: Contractors’ should provide Souhegan Valley Rentals with a copy of their current Certificate of Insurance, which should include the following information; Mobile Equipment Property Insurance (Inland Marine, Contractor’s Equipment) including Rented & Leased Equipment, Limits-Replacement cost or agreed value. Souhegan Valley Rentals and or its assigns listed as LOSS PAYEE. General Liability Insurance (including Bodily Injury & Property Damage liability), Limits - $1,000,000 per occurrence Souhegan Valley Rentals and or its assigns listed as ADDITIONAL INSURED.
OVER THE ROAD EQUIPMENT: If a customer will be renting an over the road vehicle or towed equipment, they need to provide evidence of Automobile Liability Insurance - Including Bodily Injury and Physical Damage Insurance with limits $1,000,000 combined single limit, Souhegan Valley Rentals and or its assigns must be listed as ADDITIONAL INSURED.
